Originally from Melbourne, Australia but moved to London in 2000. My passion for visual arts began in Graphic Design. I spent 18 years in the Advertising and Graphic Design world working for some of the best agencies in Australia & the UK. I also spent a few of those years as a professional retoucher, manipulating imagery for many top rate companies including Condé Nast retouching for Vogue, Brides & Traveller magazines. Being constantly surrounded by amazing imagery and being exposed to the professional side of image-making inspired me to put down the pencil and pick up the camera.
Being largely self taught as a photographer, I decided that I would go back to University and do some further study in Photography at the University of the Arts London, LCC. The legacy of my past experience in graphic design gave me a fabulous grounding for my photography.
Once I finished my studies, I travelled the world assisting many top photographers such as Tom Munro, Lorenzo Agius, Alexei Hay, Donna Trope, Cliff Watts, J.R. Mankoff and Sarah Dunn shooting celebrities for some of the worlds top magazines, labels and brands.
My own photography has predominantly been fashion, beauty and portraiture. However, photographic opportunities can come from odd sources sometimes and I have also been involved in all sorts of projects from still life and advertising to live music and architecture.
